CLUB JBN starts THIS FRIDAY 17th October, 7pm till Midnight
CLUB JBN is the hottest new Friday venue to hit Adelaide!Remember all those Friday nights you’ve been sitting at home – or worse in a ‘carpeted’ loungeroom where you’ve been just itching to dance and haven’t had the floor, partners or appropriate music?You no longer have to just sit there!We have a great venue right in the centre of the city right next to all the great café’s and restaurants of Hutt St.
The floor is superb, and you can even grab a drink or two from the bar to ‘free your inner dancer!’ Club JBN has all the great aspects of the normal Jive by Night classes, plus two extra hours of social freestyle dancing with a surprise ‘special event’ thrown in the mix for good fun.Bring your friends – beginners are absolutely welcome as always and will be well looked after by our teachers and our new Vibe Dancers who are there purely to help out anyone who is new or unsure!Come check it out – we look forward to seeing you all there!

This Week’s Modern Jive Trivia
The Catapult
The beginner move ‘the catapult’ has two variations.
the lady pushes on the guys back before spinning
the lady goes straight into the spin without pushing the guy’s back.
Variation 1 is taught as the basic catapult in Australia, and the part where the lady pushes into the guy’s back is actually called the ‘Deb’s push,’ whereas variation 2 is the basic catapult taught in the UK!
